What are the CPS and CAP ratings?

Please forgive us for patting our selves on the back, but the Sacrmento Chapter IAAP has one of the highest professional certification rates among all IAAP Chapters. Hooray! Congratulations to all who have become certified, and the best of luck to all who are working to become certified.

The Certified Professional Secretary® (CPS) and the Certified Administrative Professional™ (CAP) ratings are the industry marks of excellence. Perhaps more than any other distinction, they indicate to employers and colleagues your desire to succeed in your career. To attain the CPS or CAP rating, a candidate must meet employment and/or educational requirements and pass a one-day, three-part examination for the CPS rating, or a two-day, four-part examination for the CAP. The subject areas are Office Systems and Technology, Office Administration, Management, and Advanced Organizational Management.
